Our mission: To improve the experience, the outcomes, and the lives of Public Safety Professional.

The fire service is plagued with struggles, from mental health, to cardiovascular disease, to cancer. We know the risks are real because we have watched them take the lives of our brothers and sisters.
We believe that together we can build solutions that change these realities and improve the lives of those who serve everyday.
Three Chiefs built this company. One is retired and two are still in the trenches. But all of us are 100% committed to the vision.
We did not start PSIQ because we wanted to build another software company.
We started it because we spent our careers in public safety using tools that were not built for the reality of the job.
Together, Chief Joe Hester, Chief Will Burner, and Retired Chief Ashley Losch bring more than 75 years of combined public safety experience across fire, EMS, operations, training, communications, labor, leadership, and public safety technology.
Two of us met in the fire academy and built our careers side by side. Joe joined our department a few years later, bringing the rare combination of technical skill, operational experience, and relentless problem-solving that helped turn an idea into a platform.
What started as conversations over monthly lunches became something bigger: a shared belief that public safety deserves better tools. Not generic software repackaged for fire departments. Not impressive demos that fall apart in real workflows. Practical, secure, AI-native tools built by people who understand the job, the pressure, and the consequences.
Joe brings deep experience in EMS operations, training, labor leadership, and technology implementation. Ashley brings fire and EMS leadership, public information, communication strategy, and the ability to translate complex ideas into language people can actually understand. Will brings a multidisciplinary public safety background spanning fire, EMS, law enforcement, education, threat liaison work, and security-focused leadership.
Together, we built PSIQ to help public safety agencies understand AI, use it safely, and apply it where it can make a real difference.
We believe in an education first mindset. Where human judgment must stay in command. Where technology should reduce burdens, improve quality and performance, and support the people doing the work.
We built this because we know the job.
We built this because we love the profession.
And we built this because you deserve tools that are secure, useful, and undeniably good.
